If the room we want to be in doesn't exist, we have to build it.

We couldn't find a place on the internet that actually cared about the craft of visual storytelling or the people behind it. So we built one. Welcome to Creative Union. No algorithms, no subscription fees, no anonymous doom-scrolling. Just a free, private board for members to inspire each other, give honest critique, and build meaningful relationships with peers.

Our Mission

Creative Union is a closed room for members who love the craft.

We looked around at the platforms we were supposed to be using to share our work and connect with others. But none of them were actually built for us. They were built to feed an anonymous algorithm and keep people scrolling.

We realized we were exhausted by the isolation and the constant pressure to perform.

Our mission is simple: to protect the human element of visual storytelling. We want a place where we can actually talk to each other. A place where we can post a rough cut and get honest, actionable feedback from a fellow member, instead of a fire emoji from a bot. Most importantly, we want a place to genuinely inspire each other and turn isolated freelancers into a connected community.

This space belongs to us, and it is strictly on your terms. We do not charge for access, and we do not force exposure. The public Gallery is there if you want to showcase your art to the world, but it is never expected. If you simply want to engage in the forums, ask for quiet feedback, and build relationships without ever showing the outside world that you are a member, you can. You control your visibility.

There is no algorithm here. There are no paywalls. There are no metrics to game. Just the work, and the members who do it.

How Membership Works

Creative Union is intentionally closed. We keep the doors locked not to be elitist, but to make sure the room is full of members who actually do the work and care about the craft.

The Application:

Introduce yourself: Write a short note about who you are and what you do.

Show your work: Drop a link to your portfolio, Vimeo, IMDb, or curated feed. Let the work speak for itself.

The Vote: Your application goes straight to us. We need 20% of our active members to weigh in, and you need an 80% "yes" to get the keys.

The Result: If you're in, welcome to the Union. If it's not a fit right now, there's a one-year waiting period before you can try again. The bar is real, but so is the welcome once you clear it.
